Specialized Globe Range

The range comes in two styles - the Globe is the pared down, no frills version, letting you pick and whether and which in the mudguard, rack, and lights department. The Globe City range come with all that already sorted out, including a chainguard to keep your keks from getting oily.

The Globes completely replace the much-loved Crossroads range, and we think you'll agree they fill the 'urban workhorse' gap just perfectly.

Specialized Globe City

Initially it looks like a big investment. But study the quality of components and you'll see that nothing has been spared - there's no scrimping in the specification. The mudguards are Esge, so they won't rattle free or unexpectedly stab you with their stays. The kickstand is also Esge, and will stand obediently with no complaints. The dynamo is Busch and Muller. It's made with typical German quality, i'll stay on when you're stationary and doing that dodgy right hand turn. The generator is in the hub. Comfy moon-bars, understated paint finish, belt-and-braces puncture resistant tyres, and still light enough to carry up the stairs. At last, a bicycle designed for London.

Globe City 6.1 £600

Fully equipped and ready to go! mudguards, lights (dynamo hum yum) and a rack. Plus, an old fashioned chainguard!

All the Globe Cities have a proper hub dynamo, so no slipping in the wet or wearing your tyre out.

Globe City 5.1 £700

For those of you who can't make your minds up, this bike has a derailleur AND a hub gear. Cool. So you get three in the hub, and 9 sprockets, making 27 altogether. So, still a simple single chainring at the front (so that the chainguard works) and you can use the hub gears to shift when you're stationary - for those times when you have to stop in a hurry and are stuck in a high gear.

Globe city 4.1 £750

Inserts in the fork absorb some of the vibrations off the road. They're in the seatpost too, and a cutting edge Shimano groupset, so all the kit is light and strong.

Globe city 3.1 £800

Top-end shimano Hub dynamo (which is lighter than the others) and an 8-speed Premium hub gear. The tyres are the best you can get. Nice swept-back comfortable bars.
