Racing Bikes

What is a racing bike? A racing bike is the combination of years of experiments in making man and bicycle go as fast as possible. It's a road going machine with as little about it as possible so you can still ride it. Here at Brixton Cycles there are a few of us who have a close affinity with this kind of bike. The stripped down'ness of a racing bike is what I like. No extra clutter. No concession to practicality.

Buy one if you want to glide through the countryside, hedgerows buzzing at eye level, the smell of cut grass and fresh wet roads filling your lungs and the city disappearing behind you. Buy one if you want to commute to work that little bit faster. Buy one if you want to be the flashest pair of legs in the park. They're pretty good for road racing, too.

We stock complete racing bikes from Trek and Specialized, and framesets from Surly, Salsa, Look, Dolan, and more. Prices for framesets start from £325. Fully built up bikes cost from £500 to infinity and beyond! Drop in with your ideal component mix, and we can cost it for you.

We've got a good stock of road groupsets from Shimano and Campagnolo, including 11 speed Record. Complete your dream build with components from Bontrager, Mavic, 3TTT, Dedacci, Thomson, Salsa and more. Expert wheelbuilds from our CyTech qualified machanics will keep you rolling smoothly.
