In the past few years there has been a resurgence in slalom racing in the UK, USA and across Europe. Many old companies making slalom stuff have reformed and now there is more equipment available than ever before. Slalom boards make great street cruisers if you don't fancy wigggling through cones and they're a lot easier to carry into the pub than a longboard! With more races planned in the UK for this year and regular practice sessions at Hyde Park (Thu. afternoon/evening) and Crystal Palace Park, see the UKSSA site for details on how to get involved. Slalom comprises of the very basics of skateboarding- pumping, turning and sliding and can be great training for all forms of skating.
Brixton Cycles stock some great boards to get you going, if you’re after something more exotic we are willing to order in anything you require. Most of the high end boards are built to order these days.
